Eco House
Eco House - Circular living for plants, animals and people
An old shed has been rebuild with local circular CO2 absorbing wood. It’s open screening like facade houses a countless amount of organisms and insects, making the house an actual lifesource for the environment. Edible plants climbs into the structure, adding to the diverse biological base, blocking both direct summer sunlight and cold winter wind.
The house is heavily insulated with natural woodfibre and energy is generated by 31 solar panels. Heat is extracted from the suns’ every as well with 48 heat pipes and a solar boiler that’s supported by a air-water heat pump. Wastewater gets cleaned by a neutral welland filter with no connection to a community sewer and all water is pumped up in a local well. Pretty off-grid!
The reshaping has efficiently doubled the comfortable and light inner living space, while making space for a build in guesthouse too.
